Default Another Riddler Question

I'm about to install Riddlers. I have a question though, as they don't arrive until tomorrow, which Permatex sealant/gasket maker is included with them, and if it's not the Ultra black, do you see any drawback to using that instead?
yes I know about Lube Lockers, and they say they're not really supposed to be reusable, which doesn't make them cost effective to me.

I don't remember what came with mine and used Lube Lockers. I just changed my gear oil and repainted my Riddlers and used the same set of Lube Lockers... no problems and that was about 1K miles ago

I used the Permatex that came with them. I have also seen the Jeep tech guys use the Morar stuff as well.

my prob. is that the riddlers are pictured with a blue tube of permatex, and it's black sealant, and I can't find a black in a blue tube.

One of the selling points of lube lockers is that they are (though not infinitely) reusable. I have done 2 diff fluid changes, removed the covers and am reusing the lube lockers with no leaks or drips

I just put these on last week. I just used the provided rvt. I did buy an extra tube of black rvt just in case.

I put on my riddlers last weekend (though I bought them a while ago). They came with tubes of "Permatex Sensor Safe UltraBlack OEM Hi-Temp RTV Silicone."

The tubes are black, though maybe they looked blue in the picture due to funny lighting.

When you put on the Riddlers, be sure to check the bolts on the carrier bearing retainers (the four large hex heads that you will see when looking in the differential). I found one that had sheared and another that had been cross-threaded. Probably not a systemic problem, but worth checking. Just make sure they're snug.
