Default Another tire question

It's getting near the time to replace the stock tires on my '07 JK unlimited (6sp. 4.10) and I have been reading a lot of posts about replacement tire options. I think I have narrowed my choices down to the MT Baja ATZ, DC Fun Country F-C II, and the Cooper SST, but the information I have not found in my searches here is what tire (these or others) is the best in snow/ice and mud, as this is what I encounter the most other than the street or unpaved roads. I will increase in size only to 33's (for now). Thanks.

I love the Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armors. They are awesome in the snow and ice, just ok in the mud, definetly not a mud tire. They are great on the road as well.

The ATZ and F-C II are an all terrain tire while the STT is a mud terrain. STT for mud or the all terrains for snow and ice. If you drive on the pavement most of the time you will probably be happier with the all terrain. In my opinion the STT looks better and meatier. I was going to get the STT's but decided to get BFG A/T's cuz my JK is my daily driver and I am on the pavement most of the time.

most AT's will give you decent to good performance in snow/ice but be just okay in mud. i like the cooper sst's as they are a mudder with a lot of siping and this gives them a good bite in snow/ice as well. for me, i have run a bunch of tires but i love the toyo mt's i have now and would be hard pressed to run anything else.

If you are doing a cross section of driving ( snow, mud ice and pavement ) I would recommend the BFG A/T. I have had these on 2 Jeeps now, JK & Cherokee, and they are great for the driving I do. I live on an Island and we see all types of weather and road conditions here, since using the A/Ts I have never been stopped from going over the snow covered mountain pass x 2. The police here check tires when the snow in the mountains gets enough to cause minor accidents. As fo driving on ice they are not a bad tire as well.

Thanks for all the replies and recommendations. I suppose now it's simply a matter of me making up my mind, as they all are good tires. I like the look of the F-C II's and the SST, but I'll probably go with the Silent Armor as that is closest to being the best for my actual needs.

You won't be disapointed with the Goodyears, they love the snow.
