Damn dude, how old are you? Haha.

I was lucky enough to have my parents help me out with the purchase, but I still owe them the remainder of the payment and right now I've got it about 65% paid for.. But I work my ass off to do that. First words out of my dads mouth while we were driving off the lot were "Anything you do to this vehicle comes out of your pocket from here on out." They've done enough for me, so fair enough. I can't do any major modifications until it's paid off anyways, so I guess it works out okay.

My plan is to purchase a set of 33's come spring time and run those w/o a lift until it's paid for, and by that time I'll have enough spare cash saved up for a decent lift and a set of 35's.

My parents have always pushed the theory that if you're going to do something, do it right the first time. Think about it before you jump into anything major.

Have fun dude!

just save up your own money and get a nice 2.5 or 3 inch lift. there only $1000 at most, some are less than half that.

I'm pretty sure you could get by without a lift if running the flat fenders. I know a guy that trimmed his fenders and runs 35's and there was very little rubbing, but I'm not sure how big his 35's really measured.

OP, to expand on my post, If you want to wheel offroad with 35s you've got to add a lift 2, 2.5 (suggested) or 3", but for daily road driving 35s are fine without heavy loads or fat mates. I ran for a few weeks like this.

The fenders have nothing to do with it. Flat, chopped, whatever, you will STILL rub the rear tire edges on the inside body frame when flexing. Just nothing you can do about this unless add a lift.

Running with 35s and no lift wont be a big deal if it's over the occasional pothole, just not a good idea for any length of time.

Good luck, enjoy the 35s.
