Default Any feedback for this exhaust is welcome.

So i read a write-up somewhere about a guy that did a DIY exhaust. It used the stock pipes, he just cut a section about mid-jeep, welded in a new muffler, and cut off in the back his stock muffler. The link to the muffler is below. Is there any pros/cons to this muffler placement. Or any pros/cons to using stock pipes. After pricing with extras (clamps ect..) I found it to be an $80 exhaust. That a heck of a lot cheaper. Thanks for any info.

Here is the exhaust ( or VERY similar from pics/description he gave) in question.

That is basically all the aftermarket catback systems are. Should work just fine. Make sure after you chop the stock muffler out that you extend the tailpipe so you arent breathing fumes

Find a turn down pipe and use that on the "back" side of the exhaust.

Did that before. Then later on I had some extra change and bought a "real" exhaust system. Should have saved my money for better things. I couldn't tell any difference from each other.

You mean you didnt see a difference from the DIY exhaust and the "real exhaust kit"? Or you didnt see a difference from the DIY and stock?

As long as you are not worried about your warranty you should be fine using stock pipe. If your like me and keep all your stock parts you change you might want to reconsider. I had a shop make men's completely new system including a resonator delete with a flowmaster super 44 for under 200 and it includes a lifetime warranty and all stainless steel pipe.

I spent 40 bucks on mine and it sounds just as good if not better than some $400+ systems. I have the thrush welded and I love the sound of it. Save yourself the money and DIY!
