i have an 09 x with rc 2.5 coil lift. i put rr bumpers on front and rear now when i drive over a large bump in the road i get a clunking noise from the rear. i checked all the bolts and everything is tight. i allso know its not the d-rings becuse i took them off to make shere. im thinking this is from the added wait somehow?

Does the bumper make contact with the body any where?

well i took off the hard top and i took out the rear seat and tire jack just to make sure these things werent moveing around and the bummper isnt even close to the body.
so im thinking somewhere in the suspension ether binding up under a hard hit
becuse iv looked and cant see were anything is rubbing together

It might help if you could put some pic's of the underside on here. Spring and shock area, track bar and bumper mount area.

Also, drive it with someone in the back, and have them tell you which side the noise is coming from.

Did you ever figure out the problem? I just installed a new JCR Offroad rear bumper, and now I have an annoying clunk when I hit bumps. I took it off, and the clunks went away. Put it back on, and they are back!

I can't find anything loose. The bumper itself is rock solid.

Help!

Check the distance between the top of the bumper an the bottom edge of the tub. Mark it somehow and go for a ride and see if the bumper makes contact with the tub over bumps.
