Default Any suggestion for getting a lift kit?

I am going to upgrade my current lift( RE 3.5" standard lift)as I just upgraded my tires to 37". Any idea which brand of lift kits have both on road and off road best performance, either short arm or long arm is okay, in fact, 4" - 5" of lift is the height I want.

I'd go with the Teraflex 4" LCG Long Arm if I could do it all over again. Great lift and it pretty much always gets around 5 or more inches of lift. It's perfect to fit 37s. I have the short arms on my 4" Superlift and I like the short arms because it didn't require the pain in the ass install of cutting off brackets and welding and all that jazz. If you got the 4" Teraflex and the full set of adjustable arms, that could work out great too. If you want a long arm and don't want to weld, Full-Traction is a great company to go with. For on-road ride, Old Man Emu HD springs and Nitro Charger Long Travel shocks would be a great combo...but then you have to add in control arms of your choice. I know its a lot of options, but there really isn't abad choice of the bunch I pointed you towards IMO.

You don't necessarily need 5" of lift to run 37" tires, but if you do your going to need other mods like drive shafts if you flex your suspension.

If you don't want to stick with RE, there are plenty of good kits from Teraflex, Rock Krawler, Currie and AEV. They all vary in the parts they include and so does pricing.

Long arms are not required in most cases on the JK, but they do have advantages. If you are really serious (modification and budget wise) look at the EVO products.

Thanks for the reply. After I upgraded my tires to 37", I felt the steering wheel got loose a little bit, and I even felt my car a bit of "floating" on the high way(over 60mph). What are the causes for such issues, are my current wheels( AEV +10mm) don't have enough offset number?

What tire pressure are you running and did you adjust your toe when you upsized your tires? You really need to check toe when upsizing tires, it will cause what your feeling.

Thanks for the reply. The tire pressure is like 2.5-2.8 shows on the tire pressure meter, sorry I don't know how to calculate it or transfer to PSI numbers.
Yes, I think the shop I changed the tire from already did the toe adjustment for me. By the way, is there any method I can test the toe is adjusted or not? Running straight forward without holding the steering wheel will be a way?

I'd get them to show you the numbers, mine drove straight and I had 1/2 in toe in and it was chewing up my tires. You can't always tell by feel on toe. Especially with 37's.

Thanks. By the way, with upgraded tires, do I need to upgrade the brake system as well?

No, not really. I haven't smacked into anyone yet.
