Nice looking. Depending on which size, offset may not be ideal. At least the 17" version isn't. Unless you run smaller tires.

What would be an idea offset for a 17" rim on a 35" or 315 70r 17 tire?

These Wheels are 17x8.5
Backside setting 4.79
Offset +01
Bolt circle 5.50
Center bore 78mm

A 6 lug x 5.5 will require adapters to run lowering your backspacing to around 3.5" good for 37x12.5" tires. 35"x12.5" tires should run 4.5" backspace and you don't need to worry about offset.

What about 4.842" Backspacing? Tirerack is saying it will fit.

Its going to depend on the actual tire size as different manufacturers will have different heights and widths. 4.5" is a good target to fit any true 35"x12.5" tire.

As noted, depends on the tire, control arms (some have more clearance), and bumps tops. I had the little 315/70-17 Duratracs on 4.5" BS wheels and rubbed in a couple spots. Someone on there had the BS you noted and was rubbing control arms with 35s and they had already reduced the turning radius. I'd say 4.5" to 4" is a good range to be in. 4.5" is easy to find though.

Or, just fix if and where it rubs.

Hey thanks for posting this thread. I'm looking for wheels with more backspacing (currently have 4.5" backspacing), and these have just a bit more than that in the size I need. These are 4.79" of backspacing, which is an improvement. But I'm still looking for 5" backspacing, or 5.25" backspacing. I have Pro Rock 60 axles that are WIDE! My JK is 83" wide now, so I need to change from 4.5" backspacing to a minimum of 5" backspacing to fit my JK between the 82" wide fenders on my trailer.

Only wheels I've found that work so for are Blackrock Intruder Series in a 17x8.5 with 5 on 5 1/2 bolt circle and 5 3/8" of backspacing

What size tires are you running? Keep tire clearance in mind. I have a wider setup than you and need it to clear 40s without any issues.

I'm running 37x13.50s. After visually checking tire clearance with the suspension articulated and the tires turned each way I think I have enough tire clearance with the 68.5" wide axles to be able to run the 5 3/8" backspacing wheels. 5" would be enough backspacing though, so I'm still looking for wheels.
