Default Anyone running 40s?

My JK will soon be off daily driver duty (HOORAY, i'll actually get decent mileage!), and i am contemplating 40" tires at the end of the summer. anybody try it yet?

Mel at Off Road Evolution is running 40" Toyos on his JK.

Sure would love to see it. If I had D60's, that would deffinately be my plan. That and tube fenders. I'm thinking about going with 38.50's after I add tube fenders and wear my 37's out.

there is a guy over here with a TJ that is running super D30/D35 with 38.5's, i would think super 44's should be able to hold up 39.5 or 40's....

I don't think my wallet would handle 40" tires. Most are over $500 a piece, or $2500 when you replace them all. All I could say is ouch. :whoaisme:

If I had the money for stronger axles, and the tires then I would do it without hessitation.
