Default ARB VS Vivar?

I've been saving up for the ARB air compressor and planned to buy on next month.
Is there a comparison out there between these two somewhere I can read?

I'm not knocking vivar, I've just never used on personally ad I'd like to see how they stack up to the competition.

LOL! Your disqualified! (jk).

Via has been making air systems for a long time, so no worries.

I recently got the Viair Constant Duty kit, and it kicks butt. Filled up my 33's from 15 psi to 35 in about 30 seconds when the tank was full. It'll run air tools too, but you have to let the tank fill up regularly.

I have nothing against ARB, just never used them. I like my Viair because Dave at Northridge gave me a helluva deal, and because I can quickly disconnect the system and take it out of the Jeep.

You can find the specs for both on their websites. The last I looked, the 'bigger' arb compressor had the better flow rate between the two, but the inflation kit is extra.

Went and looked it up:
ViAir 2.54cfm @ 0psi
ARB 2.65cfm @ 0psi

Then you have to compare the duty cycles, and fill rates under load, and total cost for the complete setup, and...

If you decide on the viair, you can always add a tank to run the air lockers when you get around to installing them. (that is what I am considering now. Got a new prorock w/arb going on, and rather than pay $300 for the arb compressor with fill kit, I want to add a tank and locker install kit to my current SunPerformance QuickAir 2. Less than half the cost, and I get the benefits of the tank and power tools)

I have the ARB, i use it for my 33's and works great. I've herd great things about both. I also know if you're planning on getting lockers later on the Viair will work with them as well.

what sold me was this pic of the ARB compressor being tested in the most extreme condition possible. The pic is in the ARB catalogue, i couldn't find it online but basically it shows the compressor mounted somewhat underneath a pathfinder or 4runner completely exposed to the trail.

the vehicle was driven through mud, sand, and dirt for so many KMs and is completely covered in mud. according to the catalogue, the compressor continued to work without problems throughout the whole test run and after. a real strong testament to the quality of their products.

plus everyone i know who runs lockers on a daily driver have chosen ARB and wont go with anything else. either ARB has Merlin working in their marketing department or the products are truly the most reliable.

I comparison shopped, and for my money the ARB was a (slightly) better deal than comparable viair compressors.

Sorry for bringing up an old thread.

I was wondering which one had a better duty cycle? I love the ARB kit but if the duty cycle isnt better than Viair it might way my decision.
