Default Tire and Wheel Match

Would a 33X12.50R16.5LT tire fit a 17x9 rim okay??? I'm thinking it would but what do I know? Strongly considering some TSL Radials as my next set and that is the only size that will work for me.

No. From all the re-search I've done...you have to put a 16.5 on a 16.5 because it isn't a 17 inch hole. And stretching the tire isn't ok. Someone please feel free to Correct me if I'm wrong?

Default nope you are right

16.5 0n 16.5 and 17 on 17

if you went to a 33 x12.50x17 if tere is such a beast then you will need spacers if you don't have a lift

nope, you're right. 16.5" tires on 16.5" rims, 17" tires on 17" rims.
It's not just bad to stretch the tire, it just won't work.

That would work but they don't make that size in a TSL radial
