Default Aries Brush Guard

Anyone using this Aries brush guard? I think it looks great and I'm sure there are mounts for lights, but what about a winch? I have no idea how much it weights. Price is fair compared to simple bumber replacements, but cheaper than some of those heavy duty looking ones. Any thoughts on this product?

I have one. I got mine at JC whitney for around $180 after discount( that they are always running.) This was talked about in great length in another thread. Do a search under garage - pro grille gaurd . It's made by aries but the one at JC's goes under a differant name. Very high quality construction, one piece , about 40 - 45 lbs, does have fog light mounts. It looks fantastic , but be warned, the directions leave a lot to be desired. A total P.I.T.A , but worth it. The item number at JC whitney is 300251.

Just installed mine yesterday also purchased from JCWhitney under the Garage Pro name... Yes it does have a place to mount lights.

If you just want a brush guard and some lights, you'll be fine.

But if you want a winch, you'll need a proper bumper designed to hold one.

Plus you're putting it over that POS stock bumper. If you encounter something that actually requires the use of the brush guard, it's probably going to take the plastic bumper out anyway. Might as well buy a nice bumper/brush guard combo to begin with.

I can only imagine that the headlights might cast some weird shadows trying to shoot their light through those bars. . .
