Artec Axle Armor Truss- Does it help?
Well, I have decided to step up to 40's from my last set up of 38's. I will be doing 40x15.5x20 Toyos and EVO Bolt on Coil over swith arms and flip kit on my 13 Rubicon I have on the way. I'll be the first to admit I am a straight up Mall Crawler and wont be doing any serious rock crawling (I do like to go up to the snow 10 times a year or so and would like to do more overlanding). I have always liked bigger rigs.
I will also be doing the EVO Gussets and Sleeves. I did a search on the Axle Truss and didnt see anything. They are only about $200 for the front and rear, which since I want to keep to Stock 44's, seems like an extra layer of insurance on top of the Gussets and Sleeves. I know the optimal set up would be 60's, but I cant see spending 6k up front when this thing is a DD and not a hard core rig (If I were to somehow bend my 44's just daily driving I would get the 60's). Does anyone have experience with these truss's and do they add a legitimate amount of strength?

I have the front truss but didn't install yet, but in my experience yes it will add extra strength to ur axle..... Lot cheaper than the 60s.....I'm only going with 37s on my dd.... Can't wait to see ur 40s tho!

Just to be clear, I'm not bashing your idea at all. I'm honestly just curious....Why would you spend 4 grand on coilovers if it's only going to see pavement? There's no reason at all to pay for all that travel to only use 2-3 inches of it going over speed bumps and such.
Again, Not being a jerk, I just can't fathom spending all that money on something you'll never use. You could easily run a 4-5 inch coil lift, cut your wheels wells a good bit and run 40's. That's what I would do if it was going to only see blacktop. It will look sick either way
As far as the artec truss goes, I know a couple guys that have the front 44 truss and say they think it adds a lot of extra protection. I'm about to order one in the next week or two myself.

To answer your question. On my 2012 I built up, I did the AEV 4.5" Premium and didnt like it. I thought it rode shitty and the steering was flighty. I added LCA's and that didnt do much. I plan on keeping this new one for 3-4 years (A record for me, my average car stays 2 years) and honesty, really want the best ride possible. I want a bolt on so I can take them off the Jeep and sell them when I trade the Jeep in. I have always run Coil Overs on all of my Corvette's/Vipers and swear by them. It is a lot of money just to spend for a plush ride, but I cart around my Bullmastiff and St. Bernard every single weekend (Me and the wife are always up in L.A./San Diego) and really want the best ride I can get. With just street driving, I am really looking to beef up the stock 44 as much as possible. For me, spending that kind of Dough on 60's would be a waste of money, but, if I do somehow bend the stock 44s, will pull the trigger on the 60's. I also dont like flat flares and will be keeping the stock Rubi fenders and like a bigger lift, so on top of ride, I want to be able to adjust them as well.
I have the Artec front truss, C-gussets, and LCA skids on my dana 44 with 38's. So far so good. I do have plans of 9" axles though cause I'm gonna beat the snot out of my rig

Thanks guys, it does seem like cheap insurance above and beyond the Gussets/Sleeves.

I agree, it's cheap insurance to keep you from needing new axles. Good luck with everything and post pics for us when you get it all together
