I read in a magazine article ... If you are using it for Hard wheelin it has a tendency to break ...... It's downfall is all the " SWISS WATCH " like parts in it !!!

Aussie lockers are cheaper, and i've found that mine is indestructible so far...

OX makes a highly regarded locker for the D30. If you're aren't too worried about all the extras, ARB is also highly thought of. You could also order a Mopar Performance Dana 44 front axle replacement for your D30. All seem like pretty good choices.

The biggest thing I don't like about the Auburn Ected and Detroit Electrac is that when not engaged, they are still functioning like a ls, a truetrac in the case of the electrac.

With a selectable, I like for off to be, off . . . or open if you will. That's what makes the ARB, Eaton E-Locker and the Ox more appealing.

However, people have successfully put the Ected in the JK D44 by drilling out the bolt holes on the Ected for the ring gear bolts . I don't know if anyone has tried that yet for the Eaton Elocker.

From everything I've researched, the Dana 30 needs no mod in order to install a locker.
