I'm using the B&M with no complaints. I tow a trailer with two quads (auto tranny on the Jeep) in the summer heat at 6000+ feet. Seems to work great and it was an easy install (even for a noob like me).

I gotta speak up...I have the B&M that is popular here. I think it sucks, looks like it belongs on an oil cooled streetbike not a Jeep, too small. It didn't make a sh*t of difference, my temps still get up to 200. I plan on getting one with a little more surface area than a notebook. I had my doubts before i put it on, they were realized.

What were you running at before the cooler install?

I'm not saying you are wrong by any means. One size does not fit all, etc., but can you describe your driving conditions so people can match how they use their jeep compared to your experience? Maybe save someone the aggravation of getting the wrong cooler. Slow crawling aired-down verses towing on the highway have different cooling needs.

If your still seeing 200 degrees then that cooler ain't helping. My experience has been that the ~13,000 BTU cooler dropped my temps 30-50 degrees. Did you get any temp drop at all?

I put the 26000 GVW cooler on my Unlimited about 20 months ago... no issues. High speed highway driving, some beach sand driving ( 10 miles one-way in loose sand ) NO issues, no auxillary fan, if it makes you feel good get the fan.

I would assume that if the Jeep came stock with the incorporated radiator/trans cooler and then you added anything extra, it would be an improvement. Is is strange to think that the transmission would need a cooler the same size as the motors cooler(radiator)? Is bigger always better?

I ask because I have the B&M version in my garage...

Great question. I didn't install one but I seem to recall that the stock one is essentially stuck in one position unless you overheat.
