Default Auto trans cooler

Not sure if the 2011 needs a cooling system, but if so, has anyone installed them and what is recommended. I have a 2011 rubicon unlimited with auto trans. I have noticed some threads that seem to say others have felt this is a requirement with the oem transmission.

There are enough "my auto transmission overheated" threads to justify an aux cooler even if you don't tow or go with bigger tires.

B&M's are popular, and there are several good install write-ups in the write-ups area.

(I haven't heard about any cooling upgrades for the '11's, but someone else might chime in with some info)

i know with my 09 in the owners manual it says it is recommended to upgrade the trans cooler if you do any of the off roading, taxi, fleet driving, or plowing towing. just check out the manual i know it said it right in there for me so if its in there they probably didnt fix the problem. hope it helps

2011 Unlimited. I don't do much "off roading"--occasional Saturdays on the beach at Galveston. This past April I had my trusty ASE shop certified mechanic install a B&M 70268. I had this done mainly for peace of mind as I tend to keep my vehicles for years. After much research on the subject of the 42RLE overheats, I am glad I did it. I kept the receipt showing that the aux cooler was professionally installed (warranty reasons).

ORW has an awesome kit, little pricey, but lots of research and detail went into their kit... It will be my next purchase when funds become available!
