i replaced all my shift knobs with the Drake models, including the e-brake handle. The actual shifter is easy...it's the 4-wheel shifter that's tough....

What I was trying to say was, has anyone removed the stock shift handle? And if so would it be possible to use a custom shift knob IE: B&M Momo etc, and change the pushbutton switch to the new one. I've seen a few custom ones, pistol grip, grenade, and revolver cylinder but would like some more info before I start taking things apart to investigate.. Thanks

Here's mine pilot from pepboys. A little grinding to the inside of the grenade lever and playing with height adjustment on the lever and it works the shifter by pressing the grenade lever. The lever shaft is just a plastic rod that needs to be pushed down to shift. Remove the collar on the bottom of your stock shift knob by prying it downward. There's one torx screw hold the knob on , take that out and slide the knob off. Then you can see what you got to work with and go from there.
