Default Axel Upgrade!!!!!

I have a 2011 JK Sport 6 speed manual. I have 285/70/17 Goodyear MT/R's 33" on 9.5 wheels. The stock 3.21's are not makin' me happy since I put the bigger tires on. I am fixin to regear to prolly 4.10's due to the fact that this is my everyday ride. I plan on doing minor rock climbing, mud ridin' and hill climbin', meaning, not too extreme...just wanna bring the kids to have some fun and not get crazy. So my question is, what should I do about my axels. I know that stock axels won't last and I will need extra's to slap some 4.10's in my baby, so what idea's do y'all have? I want to make it highway happy, but wanna' make sure my front and rear axels stay together while playin' around. Wanna do the best I can and not screw up my mpg's as much as possible. What else should I do to beef up my axels for dependability?

You have a few options really. I mean other then you maybe not being super excited about the gearing on the highway there is not much too horrible with what you have in the first place. For light duty like you are talking about with only 33 inch tires you would be fine just the way you are, maybe toss on some Cs and call it a day. You could as you mentioned also regear if you wanted which probably is not a bad idea but ony going to 4.10 is not too big a change on the scale of things. It would help some but that is quite a bit of cost for minimal change really. Another option would be to look for a set of rubi axles to bolt up. That would solve the gearing that you want and would add some lockers for the front and back as well.

Last but not least would be to sell off your 2011 and trade in for a left over 2012 that you can probably get a pretty good deal on right now. You could trade up to a rubicon with the 4.10s already or you could stick with a base sport model and just grab the option 3.73 gears which should be great for you with the new engine with the size tires you are running. Wranglers hold value really well it probably wouldnt cost you as much as you think really.

"C" gussets and call it a day. IMO you dont need to sleeve or gusset the housing for 33's.

x2 for just the "C". Since your not adding a lot of weight you will be just fine with c gussets.

Well, I did put me a Poision Spyder bumper, weighs about 100 lbs, and gettin the Poision Spyder rear bumper with tire carrier for it soon...another 100 lbs, winch, etc. So there will be a little extra weight on it.

If u don't plan on going any larger than a 33, 410's will be fine, 488's would be to high. I wouldn't even bother with the C gussets unless u have someone that would weld them for no $.
