Default Axle truss

I pulled the trigger and ordered my Prue Jeep axle truss and gusset kit today hope to have them on sometime next week if all works out. Anyone else using these?

Hopefully you have somebody out there that can check and straighten the housing after welding the Back bone truss. My buddy and I were careful and checked before and after welding... sure enough we bent the housing by welding the truss :-( The long side is the side that bent. We were careful by not welding too much any one place but it still was too much. It took the shop 20 tons and heating carefully three times to get it back to straight.
They had a jig that replaced the carrier with machined bushings and a machined rod that went end to end of the housing so you could clearly see what was bent. I'm guessing some type of pre-loading the housing may help to minimize the bending.

I ordered right from Prue Jeep. I'll post pics of the install and process. Hope to have it in quick but might be a week till I can get it done

Just a note after carefully inspecting my jeep I may not be trussing axle because I have no lift and prolly won't have enough space for it to clear my engine and oil pan. So I may have to sleeve it.

Got my upper and lower C's welded with the gussets from Pure Jeep.

Not sure how it could be, those gussets are .75" plate and cut to fit exactly that shape and they fit perfect
