Can a 44 be upgraded to a 60 What if you were to sleeve and truss it what would have to be done?????

You can sleeve it, add C gussets, you can truss it.......but it will never be a D60. Doing all the upgrades listed to a D44 does not address any of the strengthening of the differential housing, it is still a D44 housing. Also, because of the smaller overall size of the D44 diff housing, you will never be able to fit the larger stronger D60 ring and pinion sets into it. The pinion size of a D44 5.13 ratio when compared to the same D60 5.13 pinion is just riduclously smaller, meaning much weaker.
