You will require lockers to get both sides of the axles to turn at the same time.

Your not going to get any "lockup" with open differentials so I dont really know what you are talking about.

All 4wd hi/lo does is transfers power to all 4 wheels instead of just the rear-two.

If you have LSD then you might get "some" traction but it is not going to equate to "lockup".

Rode with a buddy in his '09 yesterday. Tried a short steep snowy/muddy incline. It didn't make it but all four were spinning. The Brake Lock Differential worked as it should.

i have LSD.. and in just 2wd the back will hook up no matter what.. but when i go into 4wd the back wont hook up at all.. and yes.. lockers are in the future.. atleast in the rear.. because from riding four wheelers since i was 5 i know that even if only your rear end is locked you will go more places than someone with a LSD..

If there is enough load on a lsd differential it will spin one wheel. It can only do so much since it is a limited slip. You are fighting the traction control in 2wd and 4-hi as well, unless you manually turned it completely off (not by hitting the button once either)

video evidence. this was open/open with no LSD (PS, check out the date hehehehe, that's why i was being such a baby, it was like 3 weeks old and at the time there weren't many others out, so it's not like there was an abundance of spare parts available. hell, i made the lift that is on it)
