Default Back spacing needed for 37's on the JK

Im looking for new rims because for 37's 1.5in spacers aren't enough in the front. whats the backspacing needed.

Backspacing on 37s is going to vary jeep by jeep on several factors. Do you rub on the control arms? Are your wheel wells trimmed out? Does your bumper interfere? What is your current spacing? Are you running stock axles?

I have seen a lot of people with low COG builds just limit the steering instead of adding more BS.

I have 4.75" backspacing with my 37" KM2s and I have a slight rub on the frame rail at full lock.

Generally you want 3"-3.5" of back spacing for a 37"x12.5" tire. Your set up will have something to do with it as if you have a big lift and lots of bump stop you can get by with less. You will also find actual tire size will vary from different manufacturers. Wheel width can also affect what you need as a narrow wheel will have more tire bulge and need more back spacing.

With 37" KM2s & MTR/Ks I ran 4.5" BS MT Classic IIs with no rubbing. Currently run 4" BS TR HD beadlocks. Again, no rubbing

Default Rubbing 37's

I have rubbing on my Mid width bumper ends when I'm disco and flexed. Probably going to mod it by cutting it down. I have 37X12.50X17 and 4.5" back spacing.
