how many miles on the tires? i have seen a thread about the rear bb spacers start to sag. check those out and make sure they are in place... and check the axle track bar mounts close, make sure there is no cracks especially the rear.

Well, new tires are out of the question. I was looking at the OME and Bilstein shocks, but I got to wondering if the Teraflex branded shocks are any good (considering they're quite a bit more affordable for me).

Maybe the tire thing you bring up, Boston, means I should lower her back to stock????

Maybe 10k-12k miles on the tires?

I'll have to double check the track bar mount tomorrow...

Trust me....change your shocks. The X shocks were/are crap....with them extended they are even worse. Best day of my life was getting rid of them... A good set of shocks will firm it up and help with the body roll, handling and the ride.

If all looks good I would go with new shocks and get rid of the extensions

So new shocks = first order of business...

How are the Teraflex Shocks? Any good??? I know people rave about the OME shocks, but at $85 a pop..... well....

I think 35psi is too much PSI. I would drop it to like 30-32 myself. The Teraflex shocks are not bad. My friend as them on his unlim and it rides pretty nice. They are real close to the stock rubicon (red shocks) ones. You could get a set of those pull offs for free or real cheap and put them on your shock extensions and see if that helps things. You could get them for almost nothing, and they are almost the same as the teraflex shocks... so you would know if it is going to help you before you drop the cash on the Tera ones. Just a thought. You may not have as tight of a budget as I do!

I would mourn your loss.

Skyjackers are also a cheap option. The Nitros (I think they come in 2in lift and 4in lift models) are stiffer which should help with stability while cornering.

If you want a better ride I would just kick in the extra cash and get some Bilstein or Edelbrocks.

They are great shocks, I am running the Edelbrock IAS right now. They adjust automatically. They firm up on smooth roads and soften on the bumps. The Bilsteins were firm but too stiff for me, however on your rig they may work well.

Also I have found that getting a HD tie rod with better tie rod ends will help a lot.

Finally what load range tire are you running. Mine was E load range and had to air them down to 27 PSI cold.

If you don't have a lot of cash, get some rubi take offs, they are 3x better than the stock X ones....
