Default Backspacing Clarification

I am looking at new wheels and tires and I am still not clear on the stock backspacing. In reading the FAQs, I see that wheels are specified for various stock forms with options. I assume these are specifications for 2007 as mine (2008) is different. Nevertheless, I have a 2008 Unlimited X with the optional 17x7.5 wheels and 255/75/17 tires. Since I am running a TF 2.5 BB and will be ordering custom wheels, I want to make sure I have my facts straight.

True or False: Does every factory Jeep Wrangler wheel have 6.25” of backspacing regardless of size (width/diameter)?

And I understand that I need to be between 3.75" - 4.75" backspacing, right?

Finally, does an offset (-12mm or something) have any effect on these measurements?

I really did not think it was that bad of a question as there is some contradicting information on the wheel sizes in general.

But it this was indeed a stupid question, please delete it.

all i know is that 4.75 is acceptable for a 12.50 inch tire, 4.25 for a 13.50, and 3.75 for a 14.50 tire or so i have heard. If im not mistaken the 12 mm offset is the distance the hub face sets from the centerline of the wheel. In regards to the 6.25 inch backspacing i think all wrangler wheels have this.

I have 5" of backspacing on my wheels and I'm running 35x12.50's w/out issues. I wouldn't do any less though.
