Default Backspacing Question

I am putting on my 2.5 BB Teraflex lift this Thursday. I bought Cragar Soft 8's with 5inch backspacing along with 315/75/16 Mickey Thompson MTZ's. My question is will I have issues running wheels with 5inch backspacing? All Cragar sold in 16's were with 5inch backspacing.

i cant remember if the cragars have the "dimple dyed" holes in them. if they are, then you might need .75" wheel spacers, or grind the backside of the "dimples" to clear the callipers.

It is the dimple type pressed, there has to be someone on here running these wheels. I guess I could grind the caliper down instead of each wheel, that would take a while. Feedback PLEASE!!

you probably wont have any clearance issues.... But if you do, grinding the caliper really is pretty easy. ~10 minutes each. and if it touches it would only be in the front.

Alright, I hope its not a big deal. I wonder why they only have them in 5 inch back spacing if it could be a clearance issue with the caliper..? I guess I will find out Thursday when I get everything put on, I will let everyone know for the future.

to my knowledge there havent been any clearance issues mentioned at all with 16's?

15's yes, but not 16's.

There are several threads about the 15's clearance issues, some had them, some didnt.

but you DID say 16's... right?

If you do and/or dont have issues mounting them up, either way, please post back in here whatever happened so others will know

Thank you.

I would worry about clearance with 5" backspacing. TeraFlex recomends no more than 4.5" backspacing for clearance.
