Cut your losses and go to a new shop. Sub standard work is sub standard work. Plus will you have confidence in the work they do when your going 70mph down a road?

I had my new Coopers mounted white out ... I like the look!

Think the White Lettering depends on the size. I saw two jeeps with 40" MT/R's today ... and they had black letters ...

Yep.. only certain sizes are blackwall. My 35's don't have any white lettering. I have no idea why on earth Goodyear would make so many MT/R-K sizes with white letters on a tire that supposedly can't be reversed on the wheel.

Discount Tire's web site lays it out pretty clearly; the sizes with white lettering are identified with a trailing "W" and blackwall sizes end with a "B":

Well that makes sense my 315s end with W. I got the size and tire I wanted so overall I'm happy. I'll just have to live with the white writing. It's actually starting to grow on me.

I worked for Firestone back in the 80's, if you really don't like the white letters spray paint them flat black. Did this on showroom tires on the tread.
