My moog ball joints have a lifetime warranty. I can change them myself. So I couldn't justify paying that much for pro steer.

I must say that 50k on factory ball joints is toooooooo much!

When I replaced my ball joints today I saw the craptory products up close. When I removed the factory upper ball joints, they LITERALY came apart in my hand! All 5 pieces. I am feeling lucky that didn't happen on the road or trail.

After the ball joint install I find myself with a weird kinda bump steer. Almost like the jk wants to " track" down the road. Any ideas? Maybe I just need an alignment now.

Alignment is always a good place to start. But check that everything is tight. Loose bolts could be an issue.

may be torque settings...i believe the uppers are 70 ft lbs and the lowers 110...there is also a torque step up procedure...you sure got a lot of miles out of those stockers....i barely got 4000 out of the stock set i put on my front axle before going to the pro steers...

I double checked the torque settings per manufacturer directions. I have not seen anything about a torque " step up" procedure. The steering knuckles feel tight ( compared to before) which is expected. It is just that the jk seems to want to wander all over the road now and I get a lot of feedback in the steering wheel. I have Tom" actively counter steer in either direction to stay in my lane.

My dealer said I need to replace these but wants to charge an arm and a leg. I'm going to do it myself. However, I've gotten over 90K out of mine. Is this really that common to replace or something that "should" be done, but most people don't do?

I'm wondering if I should be shocked that I'm at 80k and haven't replaced them yet. I have been getting worse and worse deathwobble lately and checked them, sure enough, they look like they're shot.
