Guinea Pig, I am not.

Back to leaning towards Synergy.

My Synergy lasted 4 months - less than 5k miles and the bottoms were shot. Got the replacements in and installed - fingers crossed!!!

I bought mine from advance auto and they've been on for about 30k now and are still tight. I think I paid a little less than $100 for all 4 and they carry a lifetime warranty... I can't recall a time I've ever been turned down some p**** over not having an expensive set of balljoints but to each their own I suppose.

You can't run 37" or larger tires on ball joints that were designed to handle 32s.

I think the Napa Gold have a lifetime warranty and hold up well. If they wear, take them back and get new ones. Synergy is also pretty good about replacing worn joints.

Just avoid the hype. That is all it is.
Exactly. I would never spend twice as much on DT'S just to have to rebuild at a higher cost than replacing with new other brands!

I had xrf on my diesel with 6" lift and 37's for 60,000 and still tight.

I would just get a decent brand because they are all going to wear out and any of them could be at 15k or 50k

Reviving this as I need to make a choice this week.

Synergy @ $200

or

Crown @ $90

If the Synergys are that bad, is it a waste? There are no other ball joints out there that are economical. Anything near the price of Synergy don't seem to work with RCV axle shafts. Spending more than $200 is just out of the question right now.

Teraflex are like $230 with lifetime warranty. Synergy has 0 warranty. You make the call.

I can't answer that for certain but I am willing to bet they will. I had the cheap auto parts store ones in my last axle and they held up alight but I went with the teraflex this time just because they look to be very nice, either way they can't be much different than synergy and they are lifetime. I've never felt the synergy in my hands but these feel high quality af.

Both Teraflex and Synergy work with RCV shafts.
