Default Ball Joints Upper and lower

I had the left side steering knuckle explode into pieces just 2 months ago. Dealer covered it under warranty, and said that the ball joints had failed causing slack in u-joint assembly. Now I am being told the left side upper and lower ball joints are sloppy and need replaced ASAP. I have a 3 inch lift 33x11.5 tires, and JKS quicker Disconnects. Warranty will not cover this repair, even though I only have 11,000 plus miles. Is anyone else having these problems with their ball joints???? I cant afford to replace them every 10,000 or so miles. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

07 JK
3 inch BDS lift (lift came with rear Track Bar re-location bracket)
JKS Quicker Disconnects
33x11.5 Tires
Skid Row Oil Pan/Trans Skid Plate
Mopar Off Road Rear Bumper
Coming VERY Soon ( it is in the mail) Round Star Offroad Custom StubbyFront Bumper w/ Hidden Winch Mount

I have been riding on 35" tires for over year putting well over 25,000 miles on my Jeep and have not had any problem with them. I now am riding on 37's and have put on over 5,000 miles on them and have had no problems with them. Honestly, you shouldn't be having this problem and it really is disapointing that your dealer won't cover it under warranty.

You know what? I haven't even looked at mine, but I bet dollars to doughnuts that these ball joints don't have grease fittings. Am I wrong? If not, when you get them replaced, make sure the replacements are greasable. That'll help.

Nope, you are not wrong. Unlike the TJ's before, someone decided that grease fittings weren't needed on the ball joints on the JK

I am going to call around to some different dealers and see whats up, and send an email to chrysler. even if thay are having budget issues. Thanks guys, I know i shouldnt be having these issues, my 98 TJ has been through MUCH worse wear and tear and it has Dana 30 and 35, no problems in 176,000 miles. HMMMMM somthing osnt right with JK.

Then it should be relatively easy to install fittings. I've done it before. I've also screwed up a few ball joints trying. LOL

Yeah, I missed WOLs "not" in the sentence. LMAO. My blind ass. You mean a needle to stick through the rubber boot? That would be ok, I guess. I'm a stickler for stuff like that though. If I did it, I would go back and seal the hole with silicone sealer. I've done that before, too.....but something about adding a fitting just seems more correct. Perhaps the aftermarket ball joints have fittings. Most do add them if the factory did not. I've used Moog components exclusively through the years and they always impress with the level of quality.

Default ball joints

Now I am being told it is because of the Articulation. I am not sure if this smoke up my rear so some input from you guys is VERY welcome. At full articulation with the lift is putting too much stress on the ball joints... causing them to start failing......sounds fishy too me but I am no expert

thanks, thats kinda the same thoughts I was having. Im maintenence nut and it bugs me that I cant grease everything. My dodge ram only has grease fitting on the outer tie-rod ends, drives me crazy I always like make sure everything is tight and greased. Ive found most problems are caused by neglect.
