Default Battery Terminal Nut

Hey everyone,

So recently after having a tire shop install my wheels, tires and sensors, I noticed that there were two nuts missing from my battery connectors. I have a 2012 JKU Rubicon. The nuts require a 10mm to remove. The only issue that I have is that one of the nuts has a concave portion that tightens the clamp to the battery. Does anyone know of what type of nut this is and/or when I can find a replacement? I have tried auto stores as well as home depot and they had no idea what I was talking about. The nut is located where the wrench is located in the photo below. Thanks everyone!

First off..Why would they disconnect your battery?? Strange. Since they removed and lost them, tell them to order you a set from the dealer. Only place I know of to get them. Those are what tighten the clamps onto the battery posts.

They were having issues resetting the TPMS and I believe they most likely disconnected the battery to try and reset the system. Who knows, this is why I avoid letting other people work on my Jeep as much as possible. They will not take fault though. I had to go back to this place 3 more times to get the TPMS to recognize the new sensors... Needless to say, haven't been back since.

That is a pretty rare type of nut. I would say the dealership is your best bet. That is also why I'm always paranoid when I have to let someone else work on my Jeep. People are so careless.

I'm gonna pm you about your suspension. Really considering that one for myself.

Neither of those has the cone shape below the threads which tightens the clamp on the battery post. Bite the bullet and head to the dealer.

Yeah. The dealer isn't really that expensive for stuff like that. I cross threaded a stud one time and AutoZone didn't know how to find it, so I got one from the dealer for 98 cents.

My brand new 2015 did not have a nut on the negative terminal, making it a challenge to install sPOD and air compressor. I tested a nut from the positive and it was the same size. I too went to Home Depot and found it to be a M6 x 1.0 flange nut.
