Default Bds 2" Bl

Now before everyone starts flamin' me... they have dealt with the one issue that everyone seems to hate regarding the BL. They have rear bumper relocate brackets.

so on to my question, has anyone seen these installed?

Wow...48 views and no flames sent. I'm impressed with everyone's restraint. Just as an update, I emailed BDS and they informed me that even with the bumper relocation, you can still tow with it. Great news. I'm searchin' for a vendor and will play guinea pig. Will post updates as I get the work complete.

Ummm, trust me, the hidious gap that you will have from a 2" BL will be noticable from all sides of your Jeep and not just the rear. Aside from looks, what have they done to address your transmission and t-case shifter dropping 2" from the tub and what about your AC lines and fuel lines and steering and fan height....? IMHO, anything more than a 1" BL is WAY TOO MUCH and would strongly advise against it. But hey, that's just me.

Good questions WOL? I'll ask them to the rep from BDS that I have been speaking with and see what they have to say. I was sold on the 1"...but I was thinking, that if 1" was good, then 2" must be better... J/K. Thanks for the notes.

One of the SEMA pages has a jk with what looks to be a 3in bl, I think WOL may have put it on there just to show how ugly that can be on a jk. May wanna check it out. I have a 1in MORE BL , it looks okay , except for the rear pinch seam. I think 2 in is probably gonna be ugly all around, plus what WOL said your gonna run into some more problems. When I jacked mine up to install the 1in , I jacked about 1 3/4 and I was starting to worry something was gonna pull loose, some hoses and wiring was getting pretty tight. Anyway thats just my opinion, but I wouldn't go any higher than 1 or 1 1/4 on a BL.

I posed the same questions to BDS as WOL posed to me and thier response was that the kit made provisions for the manual tranny and there wasn't any modificaitons required for the t-case shifter. They then refered me to the installation documents for the details on the AC and fuel lines.

When asked if they had photo's of any JK's running this lift, thier response was simply NO!

OK...maybe won't play guinea pig and let the thought die...or wait to see if someone else grabs on and completes it. Thanks guys...

If they can't send you instructions prior to your purchase, I think you need to find a new company. Not that I'm recommending a body lift

Oh, they had the instructions posted on thier site, but they couldn't get me a pic of the lift actually installed on a JK!

I just searched he SEMA pics and found that BL'ed JK. It was a tony hawk edition that was "dubbed" up. You are correct, it looks absolutly terrible!
