I don't know about the Teraflex but I have a BDS 3" and I am very happy with it so far.
I spoke to a dealer about the warranty and they told me that BDS does stand behind it no questions asked. BDS also doesn't care if you mix suspension components from other manufacturers with theirs without affecting the warranty I don't know if other lift manufacturers will do that.
The warranty is one of the reasons why I chose BDS.

I have never seen a BDS rep help customers on this forum like Teraflex does. To me that alone is priceless. Teraflex's customer service is as strong as their product, and that is saying a lot. If you post a photo of a BDS arm in a thread asking if it is mounted correctly is BDS going to respond? Teraflex will. Many, many members are running Teraflex lifts (myself included) and you never see threads complaining about the quality of Teraflex components. I am not saying that BDS is not a good suspension/company, I am just saying that Teraflex is top notch. My Jeep drives better on this 3" Teraflex suspension (really gave me just over 4") and 35" mud tires than it ever did.
Plus with all the options that Teraflex has, they have a kit to fit any budget. You can always upgrade your kit later as well. David from Northridge 4x4 has awesome customer service too, and sells the Tera kits at great prices. Not trying to tell you "the kit I run is the best" but I really think Teraflex will give you better product and service than BDS, Superlift, skyjacker or whoever. Good luck.

I am also looking at about 3" of lift. I had a BDS 6" lift on my F-350 and was very happy with it but am also looking at Teraflex. They both seem to be a great kit, not sure what a complete setup would be on either one but I want to keep my factory warranty and not replace drive shafts or anything like that.
Thank you to everyone for their imput. For now I am looking at the 3" BDS and when you compair the two side by side they are basically the same IMHO with the main diffrence being price. BDS 3" with shocks $650 and Teraflex 3" with shocks $974. I will eventually want to upgrade but for now money does play a role. Both kits can be upgraded to adjustable and flex arms which makes me lean more twords BDS just based on startup price. I haven't ruled out Teraflex by any means but I do wonder if its worth $300 more?

FYI after my BDS 3" install I still have a slight rake, I think my front is about 1/2" - 3/4" lower than the rear. They say that the springs won't sag so I would guess that you may want to add a spacer to make it level. This is my only gripe about the lift, I was told that this would happen by the BDS dealer before doing it and I don't know why I didn't do the spacer then.
I think it is worth the money. When it comes to suspension and brakes I refuse to cut corners just to save a buck. Will the BDS hold up forever? Probably... Will the Teraflex? I am sure of it. I know BDS has a good warranty, but so does Teraflex. The benefit with using Teraflex is once you put the Teraflex part on, you won't have to replace it. I just think that $300 is trivial when you consider the safety of yourself (and family) depends on a suspension system performing as it should. My budget is tighter than most (I am a full time student) so I can appreciate your situation where $300 can make the difference in what product you choose. I just think in the long run the overbuilt Teraflex systems and the accessibility to Teraflex staff through the Forum is well worth an extra $300.
I don't think that either one will break under most peoples operation, I almost bought a Teraflex and had the same questions and the OP.
Now I could be wrong here but isn't the Teraflex warranty a Limited Lifetime warranty (against manufacturers defects). I know that the BDS warranty covers the part breaking period (not including the shocks they have a different warranty). This is the only reason that I even spoke up since the OP mentioned the warranty.
Like I said the chances of breaking the parts under normal driving is probably the same for either manufacturer.
