I have a 3" BDS with 3/4" spacers. No problems, rides nice and i think i paid $600 installed maybe less. I ended up adding a new front driveshaft, adjustable front trackbar, front lower control arm drop brackets, longer rear swaybar links and even longer SS brake lines.

My friend put a 4.5 BDS long arm lift on his 08 JKU when he bought it. He does have heavy bumpers, and tires. BDS just replaced his springs , because they had sagged 2 inches. They are life time warranty, so they were replaced. That is the only thing I know about BDS.
I am going with a 2.5 Teraflex.

The AEV is designed for rigs with heavier bumpers, and I'd supplement it with Currie front lower control arms.

The Rock Krawler kit is a great package.

You have no idea how much I appreciate this comment. I have been reading everything I can the last few weeks trying to piece together all the basics of the suspension. I have wanted to ask the whatever question it would take to get the response given above but kept thinking that I could figure it out. I had already more or less settled on a TF 2.5" lift but didn't know if it would need add ons or what add ons would be recommended. My goal is 35's and moderate crawling down the street in Moab but with good handling and DD comfort. I'm am trying to emphasize light weight components and regardless of what I do it has to fit in the garage. This kind of cements TF for me (happy to support a local business) and now I also know what it ought to be supplemented with.

I have the 4.5" BDS with fox shocks, adjustable upper, lowers, fronts and rears... Zero issues and if I have any in the future, they'll replace it.

I'm sitting on teraflex 2.5" coils now. My synergy 3" will be here next week. I can say it rides a little rough. The bilstein 5100s smoothed it out a little and they ride nice. My fox 2.0 are a little stiffer but are awesome offroad to the point I'd rather drive offroad. They are smoother offroad. It's weird. One reason I switched coils is because if you run and weight on your rig (bumpers, winches) etc then they are going to sag. I wanted the progressive rate of the synergy to hold the weight.

I think RK with bilstein 5100s would be an excellent choice. Hear that kit rides and performs awesome. And now that they have the triple rate springs it should ride even better.

Just remember a warranty still sucks if you have to use it and it's a daily driver. Still means putting the jeep on blocks or (if they send ya replacement without core) you have to do the work or pay for it. Better to get a product that no one ever needs to warranty. I love my RK products. I've gotten most used but it's great stuff. However, it's not something I'd call "light weight." Less weight while still being strong usually means more money though. Good luck to ya. The RK and a AEV kits linked above look like good options.

bds makes zone I think....bds is more of a pickup lift I think but anyway...the RK 2.5 flex on my 4 door with winch and steel bumpers netted me 3.25"....on your 2 door It should be more and the rk rides like a dream with bilsteins on it
