Default Bedlining the cab

So I'm thinking about a spray on bedliner, made a deal with a guy I know to trade out me doing some welding for him, if he would spray it on for me but I have to pull every thing out and mask it off. just wondering if anyone had some tips or things to look out for. Thanks

I thought id say something. There are a few threads dealing with this and I read them all. Leave the heatshield, and figure out some way to mount the wire runs. I have seen a few I like the way it looks and will do it some day. Best of luck

My buddy put a spray in bed liner and although it made it real easy to clean it would get very hot in the Jeep. He had to put towels down for his dog because the floor was to hot for the dog to stand on. He ended up putting the carpet back over it.

If you have a 2 door, there are pieces of tape covering a hole stuffed with expanding foam right under the B pillar. I still haven't figured out what to do with this tape and hole.

The "b-post" tape covers the hole that the robot crawled in to work between the metals. (I hope you didn't take it off)
I Herculined mine by hand. PREPARATION makes ALL the difference. SERIOUSLY!!
The two wire runs on either side, I just tied them up over the rollbar to keep them off the tub.
It's easy....really easy.....just time consuming

Did you paint over the tape? I'm tempted to have someone weld a plate over it or find some kind of rubber grommet cover, I don't see a need for the access anymore.

As to the heat issue, somebody mentioned leaving the heat shields (strips of "caulking" on the floorboards). X2 on that.
A liner without any "substance" in it won't shield the heat. The Herculiner (I don't know if you can spray it, but I know there's others) has loads of rubber granules in it, and has to be dabbed on. It's thick, and for mine, there was enough product to put 2 coats everywhere, and 3,4,5 coats on the "high traffic" areas, like floorboards and the rear (no rear seat).
my $.02

No, I didn't even put the liner up that far. I kinda just followed the line of the inside wheelwells.
Like someone said, do a search for this.....there's lots of threads on it, and I read every word before I jumped into it...
