Okay so I'm still on the fence on whether to go this route or save money and diy Berliner. The main question I have for you guys using this is does it help at all with blocking the heat coming from the transmission on the floor? Just made a 8 hr trip with the ac blowing on my feet just to keep the heat down.

Yes, big help, thanks ! I'm going to try coating my carpet with Herculiner ( or a coating that I can reduce viscosity of) and hopefully get best of both worlds. Water proof, heat blocking, dog hair and dirt resistant. Will try coating on cubby lid to see how it works. Will report back when Ive tried it.
