Default Benchmark Bumpers

I purchased a Benchmark Elite Stubby front bumper and it arrived and looked great. I installed about two weeks ago, and have had the JK in the garage while I was waiting for wheels and tires to come. I took it to work prior to going to get the tires and wheels installed, and when I looked at the bumper I noticed a dollar sized piece of powder coat that had popped off the front right side. I went out last night to check to see if the bare metal that was exposed had begun to rust yet, and I rubbed a piece of damp paper towel over the area and another piece popped off right next to the first one.
I have contacted John at Benchmark and will let everyone know what he does to resolve this issue. Frustrating as it is a hard install when you have the Rubi sway disonnect in the way of two of the bolts. Poor powder coating. Thought others should know prior to purchasing

What was their response? Im sure they will make it right. From what I have heard and seen they make really nice quality stuff. Everyone has issues from time to time. Hopefully they can work out an easy fix for you.

I really like their Elite front bumper with hoop. Not sure if I want the winch mounted Hi though instead of inside the bumper.

I have a benchmark front elite bumper i got a couple weeks ago. powder coating was great.

i havnt experienced any flaking or issues with it.

Second day i had it i picked up the jeep but the front bumper when i got hung up on a large rock, it got scratched up but nothing else happend. i put some bed line coating on the bottom of it, and its perfect.

Only thing i have experienced with benchmark is turn around time wasnt as originally perdicted for my rear bumper/ tire carrier. One of the reasons i went with it was because of the estimated turn around. I didnt want to spend $1200-1500 and have to wait months

I was under the impression it would be 2 weeks, and been 6-7 i think, or more? i dont even know anymore because im trying to not care. but iv really been itching for it bad. especially since it was $1200+

but i think now he is ready to ship it out soon. well see.

sorry for your issues. he doesnt seem to respond to emails very quickly. but does respond to PM's.

Did you see the email I sent you right after you sent your email?

We're in Everett WA, right down the street from Boeing Airplanes and use some of the same finishing shops to have our powdercoat done. It's top tier and for the most part has been trouble-free.

Is it possible the bumper took a hit in shipping?

Thanks, I try to get to everyone in a timely manner, but admit that it isn't always fast enough.

Just wanted everyone to know that John has contacted me and offered to assist in paying for having the bumper redone with LineX. Happy to know that someone out there cares about their products..

Good deal. Good customer service and product support go a long way in my book.
