So I bent my steering stabilizer last week wheeling. So I have a few questions. Is there anything I can do to move this up a bit... I have a 4 inch full traction lift. Also is there really that much of a difference between the steering stabilizers? Any advice would be good.

A few companies sell relocation kits. PolyPerformance sells one for around $40.

And I haven't noticed a difference with aftermarket stabilizers.

I just replaced mine with a jks relocation bracket and tie rod mount. It can either be a weld on or bolted on.

When you weld on the JKS version it also beefs up the track bar mounting bracket considerably.

Why doesn't a front skid cover the SS so we don't have to relo?

Would just lose more ground clearance. Relocating makes more sense and its not hard to do.

I bent the crap out of my SS last time out, and to be honest, it drove just fine without it. I replaced it, but i no longer carry one with me when I wheel. If it breaks, it can just be removed easily and replaced at home.
