Nitto Trail Grapplers are a good all around hybrid between on road an off-road, and wet and dry performance. And don't kill gas mileage bad at all. Plus they look awesome!

Default Mickey Thompson?

What about Mickey Thompson tires? I have been seeing them a lot lately. I'm looking to upgrade my jeep soon and I think I'll be going with 33s also.

A buddy of mine runs Mickey Thompson ATZs and they seem to be a pretty good all around tire. Quiet, siped, and with enough void between the lugs to perform well in the soft stuff (sand, mud, etc)

I'm going to agree with trail duty- I have a set of MT ATZ's 33x12.50's on 16" steelies. They are fairly quiet on the road, do well above average in mud (yea the deep gooey stuff), and are fantastic in sand if you run em at 15psi. Lastly wearing seems to be good, I have about 30k on mine and plenty of life yet! Good luck w your decision!

....x3, also ran the Mickey ATZs in 33s. They did real well, but eventually upgraded to 35s with a more aggressive / Mud terrain pattern....

Default jeep upgrade

I'm lifting my Jeep unlimited and i think I'm going to go with a 2" lift and 33" inches with 18" rims. any suggestions/ideas? This thread has left me with a lot of great feedback on tires.

I wouldn't go larger than 17 inch wheels on a jk. That's just me.. I have 15 inch and love them. Tires are cheaper and tires look larger. If you do decide to resale them in the future, not many buyers for 18s for the reasons I mentioned above.

X3 on the Duratracs. I just put a set on recently to replace the rubicon mt tires and couldn't be happier. Snow performance is also a big factor in my choice though.
Good luck on your choice!
