Default Best first upgrade

So I have been thinking all about what am I going to do first to my new Rubicon Unlimited. And really I'm trying to be practical. As much as I want a Rock Krawler Long Arm suspension and all that, it probably wont be in my deck of cards for a little bit.
So I have been thinking that a Front Bumper and winch would be the best bet. That way I have a way of getting out of whatever crap I get stuck in. Or is there something that you all recommend would be the best to do right off the bat.

I think the first thing you should get is a winch. It will probably be the least used mod you have, but it will be the one you want the most when you actually have to use it.. you can do almost anything with a winch.. so I would say, yes a front number and winch is a great first mod.

There is never a good answer to this. It's always 100% "Depends" Who are you planning on wheeling with, where are you going, what type of offroading will you be doing. If you plan on just playing around in your local back woods by yourself, recovery gear is key. If you are going to be off roading with a dedicate group of jeepers, they might appreciate you getting stuck less then your ability to winch yourself out. Same thing, are you planning on just cruising on the beach and on fire tower trails, or are you going to be neck deep in mud? A winch is a great thing, for sure. I know I've had to be winched out a number of times. But I know with the folks I go with, they appreciate folks not getting stuck alot more than folks who have their own winch (especially since 99% of winches will be using another jeep as the recovery point anyways). That's just my 2 cents, but plan your mods based on how you will actually be using your vehicle. And the best way to know what mods you need, is to go out stock first.

My personal preference is to get a good lift and some rock rails first, to avoid damaging your jeep. But again, that's just me. Where we go, I need the armor and the lift!

I think the best first upgrade would be your headlights. Jeep headlights are some of the worst I have ever seen.

I agree, the headlights are like two candles and flashlight with dying batteries tied together. Even if you just grab some silver star bulbs for about $40-50 you'll see a huge improvement. The improvement being that you can See!

Headlights for sure, I always drive with the fogs on to because light output is so bad.

The first upgrade I did actually was tint, but it was followed very shortly after by headlights.

I agree. And there are many options to choose from. And the good thing is that all of them will be better than the stock lights. I went with IPF h4's
