Best mud tire for dd
Went from Cooper STT to BFG MT KM2, and found the noise level on pavement to be somewhat less on the BFG KM2. Can't speak to the wear issue, did not have the Coopers all that long, and only have had the BFGs for 7k or so.
I would recommend either, they are both great tires. Whichever is lighter, I would go with that. My .02.

Just got my 35" KM2's, but haven't installed them. I will let you know how the noise compares from stock KM's to the KM2's. I will also throw in an off vehicle and on vehicle diameter measurement for your viewing pleasure...
You might wana consider the cooper STT as a DD mud terrain. They handle very well on road and wear quite slowly ( 30k on them and th're pretty new). Beside it's a very aggressive tire off road and perform extremely well in mud and snow (when aired down).
The thread is very similar to the toyo M/T but has more sipping and more self-cleaning pattern.Attachment 156036

On vehicle - 34"
On tire carrier (no load) - 34.75"
Noise isn't much louder than my stock KM's but its still louder. Not as bad as my MT BAJA MTZ's on my Sierra.
I have had my Cooper STT's for 27k and still have about another 15-20k on them and they are great for a DD. Pretty quiet, and ride pretty good. They are awesome in the mud, and they are cheaper than most of the other MTs out. Got my 35s for sale if anyone is interested.
