Default Best paint to prevent rust

I have a black jku and I made my first cut into the body for a mod and was wondering what I should use to keep the drill hole from rusting. Is there sonething clear that would work? It's not in a noticeable spot

Get some color match touch up paint. I got a small bottle from Quadratec, perfect to brush onto the sheet metal.

I got some self-etching primer and sprayed a bunch into the top cap and then dabbed a q-tip in that and touched up all
my drill holes with that - if it was the frame I would then put some black rattle-can over the holes.

It depends on how big the area you need to cover is. If it's a fresh drill hole or a bare edge from a cut that's not to big, any type of paint to cover the bare metal up should be suffice.
Any larger and I would recommend and etching primer for the bare metal and then paint.

Anytime I go to bare metal on the body I always prime with a "name brand" primer and follow up with the Mopar color matched spray paint to top coat even if it's in a hidden area. If it's just a small spot you can spray some on a paper plate and Q-Tip it.
