Default The BEST programmer?

We bought our first Wrangler about a month ago. I am looking for the best tuner. I have read many posts in many threads but nothing really concise. If you have a tuner and like it, tell me about it. If you tried more than one and have a preference let me know. I look forward to your comments or if there is a thread like this please direct me. Thanks!:thinking.

IMO, I would spend money somewhere else first . It's not going to benefit you as it will on a modded JK.

Superchips is a popular choice!

I'm not really looking for a lot of suspension mods. I live at the beach and hunt a bit in the fall. I think the stock BFGs will be fine. I've done several CAI, programmers, and exhaust kits on my trucks over the years. I was running a Bully Dog on my 07 Ram and thought it provided more power than the Hypertech but they don't make one for the 3.8L. I've never tried the Superchips but will be glad to try if that is the preferred choice. What other mods do you suggest?

The Superchips works great. It will benefit you no matter what mods are done.

Here's another vote for the Superchips Flashpaq.

I agree with Biff, the Superchips seems the best of the lot IMO, and if you decide to go with some mods later, like bigger tires, etc. you can program in the new size.I am similar to you in what I have done in the past to my rigs, on the JK I have a AEM CAI with a Magnaflow cat-back and they seem to work well together.

sounds unanimous. How are those magnaflows? I don't think I'd want anything very loud. This is the first V6 I've ever owned.

I have 35s and an exhaust / intake. I am mainly getting it to correct my speedo, disable TPMS and to run a tune to regain some lost performance due to the bigger tires, so my experience may differ quite a bit from yours. However, I mainly posted to let you know that another person picked the flashpaq over the other options, based on my research on this forum.
