We know we are no where near the time in the industry or have earned the reputation that King and Fox have yet, but we would like to throw our new RRD Racing Shocks into the mix! The retail price on them is now $169 for emulsions with bar pins and $159 for emulsions without bar pins. They are also very easily upgraded to Remote Reservoir applications. The bodies are now coming with a hard anodized coating. They are a very smooth shock that we can valve however you would like. They are lighter in weight than their steel counterparts, cool better, fade less, and won't rust!

I would suggest ELKA shocks for your TeraFlex system. ELKA is known in the ATV/UTV industry for their shocks. ELKA has been around since 2000 building ATV shocks.

Elka Suspension Performance Shocks are specifically valved to TeraFlex specifications for high speed handling and performance. Why would you want to choose a shock that's not tuned specifically for your TeraFlex setup?

With high and low speed valving with a floating-piston CNC billet nitrogen charged reservoir keep the shock running cool during long baja-styled runs.

congrats RK on the new shocks.

Joe - a question about the shocks TF has tuned for the lifts.

On the TF site you guys have both the Elka and Fox (in addition to the TF shocks).

Can you elaborate on the difference between the two shocks?

Moreover can you tell me how the rides will differ on and off road (between all 3)?

Thank you!

I've driven a two door JK with a 3" Teraflex long arm lift, and Elka shocks. It was very smooth riding. The shocks are valved very soft, but still control the ride well.

The JK that I had at that time also had a 3" Teraflex long arm lift, and had Icon 2.5 reservoir shocks on it. The Icon shocks were valved much firmer. They were not harsh, but were firm, and super super well controlled on every bump.

Overall I would say the Elka's were better everywhere but sand whoops. In sand whoops the firm valved Icon's were in their element, and they were unbelieveably good. In the sand whoops the Jeep with Icon's could run away from the Jeep with Elka's, but everywhere else the Icon shocks would beat you up pretty good because of their stiff ride.

ELKA's are a 4 valve shock, 2 valves for high speed, 2 valves for low speed. I'm running these on mine and I love them very much. They are a blast off road when I think I'm a baja driver. On road, even my wife commented on how nice the JK rides.

Fox are a single valved shock, new version are due in very soon that have tuned for our JK suspensions. We use the Fox shocks with the new 2dr PreRunner kits, great setup for offroad.

Check your stabilizer for leaks. If it has any, I can get it replaced. What psi are you running?
