Best Tires for Stock Rims on 08 Sahara Unlimited
Hey guys,
I am looking for advice I want something more agressive that is currently on there. Original size is 255/70 R18. I think I can go up to 270/70 R18 without getting a lift.
What tires would you recommend?
I have heard that the Toyo Open Country M/T are a good tire.....what else?
Keep in mind that I want to run my stock rims.
Thanks,
Matador

I just ordered some Nitto Tera Grapplers in 285/65/18.
Needless to say I'm excited to get them installed. I'm just waiting on my wheel spacers.
If you don't have a lift I'd recommend 275/65/18. If you have a lift and don't want to use spacers I'd recommend 275/70/18.

I have 275/70/18 Maxxis Bighorns on stock Sahara's. I've been very pleased with them on and off road. Ran them for a few months without spacers, now have 1.5" Spidertrax for more clearance. A wider rim would be ideal, but I've seen several 35/12.50's on stock Sahara rims(with a lift obviously).

Youn should go all-terrain then. M/T's dont last as long and are not that good in the snow. BFG, Nitto, and Goodyear all make great tires. The new Duatrac from goodyear looks really nice. It should be available in the sizes you are interested in very soon if not already.
