Best way to re-finish a bumper?

Don't mind my son, but if you zoom in you'll somewhat see the passenger rear flare

Looks great from the pic. Did you just do the outside or did you get underneath as well? Also, it didn't gunk up at all in the crease where the flare meets the body? 3 coats seems pretty thick to fit in there without getting on the paint.
Side note, i said rhino liner earlier I meant raptor liner.

Just scuff the bumper up and don't waste your money on "rhino liner" buy thisAttachment 464328or thisAttachment 464329
I used the first one on my dad's brand new bare steel AllPro bumper, took about two weeks to fully cure but WOW I can hit his bumper with a hammer and not scuff it! It's around $12 per canAttachment 464331
For $6 per can u can get the rustoleum, I use that on my Rubi rails once a season Attachment 464330
Just make nice even passes with the can of paint! Good luck!

I've never used the Rustoleum but I imagine it's a good product because Rustoleum makes great paint. It's cheaper than the Duplicolor, so it could be one of those you get what you pay for things too. I really don't know first hand though.

Haha, hope that boy as a little rideable toy jeep.

I raptor lined my side skirts i have 2 cases of the stuff in the garage. (was supposed to do a friends truck bed, we never got around to it)
Just sprayed the first coat on my rear bumper. Gonna use the second half of the bottle for coat number 2. If that goes nicely the flares are up next, I just had no desire to mask off everything today to do the flares.
Did you do the little under lip of the fender? where it cups the wheel well?

Ugh!
I did 1 light coat and 1 thick coat on the rear bumper. Came out great except when I took it down from the tree I hung it on, the edge caught a branch. It was still rubbery because I am impatient and didn't want to drive to work without a bumper tomorrow morning.
I had to take a knife and cut a square out of where it was peeling, hopefully the surrounding edges hold strong and I can just fill it in when I paint the fenders. Praying it doesn't look like a missing square afterword but i doubt it will.
