I was planning on getting them. The shop that did my lift was supposed to get them and install them but at the time they were out of stock. Really wanted them except they are not built for off road so they would probably get damaged off-road if the rocks reach. I kept debating about them. Don't need them myself, but for the wife. Ended up getting these. $13 - $25 depending on size.

About the folding steps... I bought one of each size 6", 9", 12", since they are so cheap compared to the Bestop option. What I like about the 6" and 9" is that folded flat they fit under the front passenger seat. I tested with my wife (short and a year after delivering twins) on my Jeep (4.5" lift and 37" tires) and the 9" and 12" both worked... 12" much better though... the 12" I keep in the trunk.

i thought they were $450. The motorized ones are the pricey ones.

I have the bestop tublar steps that lift up and slide in. They use a bungie cord to help hold them in. They stick out a bit much for serious rock crawling.

They take about 2hrs to install. The rattle a bit but did make it much easier to get in to my jeep with 9" of total lift over stock.

I hear besttop is comming out with motoraized steps similar to the ones they have for the TJ later this year.

Overall I am happy with them. I wish they had a motorized option. (I am thinking of adding air power to pull them in an out). and I wish there was an easy way to disconnect them and pull them off for when you are on a serious trail.

Thumbs down

I ordered these for the unlimited. Took four months to arrive. Badly damaged in shipping. Quadratec was great about it and shipped another asap.
The next set was only lightly damaged. They are meant to bolt on, but the fit and finish is so bad, that is impossible. Holes don't line up, even after being bent and torqued to get close. That elminates the strength and stability.
I can't in good faith recommend them to anyone.
You might order them, get lucky on your pieces, and have them pop right on!
Too much time, money and waiting for me to try again with Bestop.
I will try one of the other rocker protection/step options.

I had high hopes this item might be the answer to the "wife getting into the jeep" issue, even thought it would mean some performance compromises. The thick plate steel on the rocker guard part, and the sheer weight of the dang things had me encouraged when I was unwrapping them.
Really sucks to wait four months, spend hours under the jeep in the heat, and end up with a lousy product!
