i have a soft top already and have been looking at this jsut to get rid of all the metal and hassle of taking the top down. I love my top but i am lazy. The question i have is would you consider this top eaiser to install and remove BY YOURSELF then the stock sunrider?

What I understand, today it is a velcro strap and from the info I gather on the net, it seems a new design is ongoing to replace the velcro by a tailgate bar such as the OE. I don't know when this will be ready, but it is mandatory for me to go to this new design top. I don't like the idea to have to glue a velcro strap and this is less efficient if you have to open the tailgate.

WOL do you have any info on the availability of the trektop with the tailgate bar design?

Its going to be delayed a couple days. I order the new tailgate bar

Its ready now. I called Bestop today
You can order the bar from a Bestop dealer. I'm ordering mine from 4wd. Well soon as its in the ordering system

just the bar.


From my understanding, all the versions will use the the velcro design on the bar. The velcro is taped onto the new bar.
