This is especially disappointing considering I have their tubular side steps and those are anchored on three points. I have taken a hit with them and from the sounds of it, they take it better than the side armor, which is prone to flexing. lame...

I have the smittybilt src side armor (steps). Look awesome and functional since I won't be rock crawling anytime soon.

First off when you buy these your also going to need to go to Home Depot/lowes and get a grinding bit ($8) and get two. Also make sure you have two full batteries on your drill because the odds of these getting on without any fabrication is highly unlikely.

Passenger side went on fine. If you do this by yourself use your jack to support the other side since they weigh like 60lbs each.

In my experience I had to grind out the forward most hole on the driver side to expand it and move it down since it was 1/8 of an once off. Also spray on some sort of protection after drilling like rustolium prior to putting them on. Once they're on they're legit but omfg until that point.

Do these stick below the frame rails?

Yes, but with the new lift and body lift... Not bad at all.

Anyone know if these work with the Rubicon rock rails or do the rock rails need to be removed?

Default 3 nuts only

So here is my fit issue -- i got the side rails on but can only get 3 of the nuts on. I have both on the back and only 1 on the front. The rails feel very secure. Thoughts on if this is a big problem or not.

I installed mine tonight and had a similar issue with one of the nuts as there was not enouch room between the large washer on the bushing and the side of the SRC brscket. I think I got that not reasonably tight and plan to try to find a 5/8" socket for a 1/4" drive tomorrow that should be short enough to slip over the nut above the large washer.

In case anyone was wondering I answered this myself tonight. The answer is no. I had to remove the stock Rubicon side rails. I plan on posting the stock rubicon rails for sale on the billboard once I get to 50 posts, just sayin.
