Default BFG KM2 33x12.5 R15 + MB72 on OEM spare holder

Hi guys.. Just bought 5x BFG KM2 33x12.5 R15 with MB72 wheels. I've also bought the "Off Camber Fabrications Spare Tire Reinforcement Kit". I'm wondering how the spare will fit in the OEM location ??

33" doesn't seem to be a huge "improvement" in size but the 12.5" + MB72 getting me worried.

I'm sure that i'm not the only one with the same setup so guys can you hint me ? I'm going to install these in a couple of hours. Do this setup will fit or am I going into trouble ?

I know that those tire/wheels will fit on the JK... just "curious" for the spare.

thanks !!

The new wheels have a lot less backspacing than the OEM. 3.75 VS 6 for the OEM. but maybe i'm wrong with the "6" from the OEM but they have surely less than the OEM. So maybe the spare tire will touch the tailgate or something ?

wow 3.75? Those will stick out a lot!
Someone correct me if I am wrong but isn’t the optimal JK backspacing 4.5 or 4.75?

4.5ish is to clear a 35x12.50 with no rubbing inside the wheel well. But, he ordered 15's. 15" rims will need the 3.75 backspace to clear the brake calipers.

Hey all !

Everything works fine. All new tires and wheels installed and they look badass.

And you're right for the spare.. I think I've miscalculated the backspacing or inverted something.. The new spare is installed and YES he stick out more than the OEM one but thats not a problem. I ordered the Daystar extension because you were right too, the OEM do not touch the new tire at all. I ordered the spare tire reinforcement kit too.

Thanks for your help !! See you on the trail !

I used the
Off Camber Fabrications Spare Tire Reinforcement Kit
Off Camber Fabrications Spare Tire Relocate Bracket
Warrior Products Third Brake Light Bracket
for my 35 KM2
With No complaints
Easy Install once I figured out the reinforcement brackets
It is something I would recommend for an oversize spare setup
I have had it on for 4 months now rattle or movement at all

Thanks mate ! I've got this wheels/tires installed today. I'll take a couple more pictures tomorrow. Look very badass with those KM2 VS stock wheels/AT tires !!

That made the Jeep look really like a "Jeep".
