Now have you seen both of them on the trail ? or is this just based on opinion?

Seen em both. The Krawler is a rocking tire, don't get me wrong. But the Maxxis has a far stronger sidewall. Which is one of the Krawlers weaker points. The Maxxis also uses a softer compound (comparing the Red Sticker Krawler and the competition compound Maxxis) and comes with more biting edges. Although you can easily custom cut the Krawler to match that..

But honestly, I would not run either on something that saw street time, unless you run two sets of tires, or trailer it to the trail. Because both will wear out quite fast.

When it comes time for me to buy tires again for my J10, I will probably go with Iroks. They are more street friendly, and cost half the price. I currently have TSL's on it.

The Krawlers weak sidewalls are its only real problem, Creepys sidewalls are vertually impossible to damage, I have never seen or heard of creepy sidewall failure but can't say the same for krawlers!
