Default Bigger tires and Standing Water

We've all had it happen. It rains hard and water ponds in low places on the road - usually on the lower right shoulder. I have wide BF Goodrich 33's on now. The first time I hit a good size puddle at 45 I knew it was going to pull to the right, but crap, it pulled! Now that I've seen it pull that hard to the wheel in the water I'm ok with it. I'm getting ready to get a lift kit and new tires. Has anyone had any second thoughts when it came to standing water and bigger tires? This is my DD, and I love driving it, but I really want to go to at least 35's

Ive noticed that my jk with 33's definitely get affected by standing watera lot more than my previous car which was a vw gti. I just dodge puddles when im driving over 30

It's not the height. Width is the issue. Price you pay with a wide tire.

My 12" wide tires do it pretty bad.

Ya it gets pretty bad. It was night one time, and I was almost home from a long drive from college. I was excited to be home and i was going faster than i should have while it was dark and rainy. I hit a huge puddle... it was scary!

X2.. It's the width that makes the difference. My 12.5 mts measure more like 13 and the like to make the jeep a speed boat..
